Master Budget Creation Program
Starting September 2025, we're running a practical budget creation course for small business owners and finance professionals across Australia. This isn't about theory you'll never use. We built this around real budgeting challenges we've seen businesses struggle with over the past decade.
Register Your InterestWhat You'll Actually Learn
We've broken this down into manageable chunks. Each module tackles a specific part of budget creation that businesses typically mess up. And we're focusing on practical application rather than endless spreadsheet formulas.
Revenue Forecasting Reality
Learn to build revenue projections that actually make sense for your business cycle. We'll cover seasonal adjustments, growth assumptions, and how to avoid the trap of overly optimistic forecasts that sink budgets.
Cost Structure Analysis
Breaking down fixed and variable costs properly changes everything. We'll show you how to categorise expenses in ways that help with decision-making, not just accounting compliance.
Cash Flow Integration
Your budget needs to work with your cash flow, not against it. This module connects budget planning with actual cash timing so you don't end up profitable on paper but unable to pay bills.
Variance Management
Budgets change. We'll teach you how to track variances, when to adjust your budget versus pushing harder on performance, and how to explain changes to stakeholders without losing credibility.
Programme Timeline
The course runs for twelve weeks starting mid-September 2025. Each phase builds on the previous one, so you'll develop a complete budget by the end.
Foundation Phase
Weeks 1-4: We start with budget structure fundamentals, data gathering, and setting up your financial framework. You'll leave this phase with a clear understanding of what drives your numbers.
Build Phase
Weeks 5-8: Now you'll create your actual budget components. Revenue models, expense planning, capital allocation. This is where your budget takes shape based on real business requirements.
Refinement Phase
Weeks 9-12: Testing scenarios, building contingency plans, and preparing for variance tracking. You'll also learn to present your budget effectively to boards or senior management.
Fletcher Ashford
Fletcher spent fifteen years as CFO for manufacturing businesses before moving into consulting. He's built budgets for companies from $2M to $200M in revenue and focuses on making finance accessible.
